We have had several tool meetings in Nappanee; this meeting will be in the Coppes Commons building, as were past shows. Not limited to AREA F members, Ohio, Michigan, & Ill. Welcome.

Upstairs, (2nd floor) on the West side of the building. Sorry, there is still only one slow elevator on the east side of the complex where you should enter. If you are bringing tools, a two-wheel hand truck or other rolling cart will be very handy. 5-foot round tables will be furnished with coverings.

I will try to keep your cost of attending as low as possible. I have now exhausted the reserve show money I had. I will need to charge a small admittance fee of $5.00 per family/member’s group. The owner of Coppes Commons is also an M-WTCA member, so the air-conditioned room is free. Five-foot round tables are free. The bakery’s cinnamon rolls and coffee are for everyone.

Basically, I need to know how many people to expect so I can order supplies and set up tables. Sorry, if I purchase supplies for you and you do not attend, there will not be a refund. Also, if you do not tell me you are coming and show up with six of your friends, I will not have Cinnamon rolls for you.

Tool displays welcomed, “What‘s it” tables available. Doors open at 7:30, arrive when you want, Show usually is over by 1:00.

MWTCA Area Meetings in Indiana have usually been in the Southern or the Northern part on the state. The Southern meeting is at McCormick Creek State Park. Usually in March, next year’s meeting will be the twentieth consecutive meeting. This is a two-day meeting at a great location. The Northern meeting has recently been in an old kitchen cabinet factory, in Nappanee, Indiana. Coppescommons.com is the web address. Coppes commons has become a destination for shoppers and tourist. Coppes is famous for making their own brand of the “Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet” from 1902 thru 1940. Coppes is still in business, making it the oldest continuous operating kitchen factory in the U.S. I have volunteered at Coppes for many years as the Coppes Historian. The actual room used for the tool meetings has moved around in the buildings, depending on the space available. This year we will be in an upstairs room (elevator accessible) of the earliest building, built in approx. 1892. Plenty of room to spread out on tool tables. The owner of Coppes Commons is also a MWTCA member and has generously provided the room for no cost, his personal tool collection is also located in this room. My goal is to have a low-cost meeting for the attendees. Check out the web site and see all the shops located in Coppes Commons.
